See what the work involves
01 / The work
A signed agreement is not money in the bank.
Track signed agreements, billed fees and collected fees separately. A busy calendar can still leave your firm short of cash.
Check when payments arrive. Staff time and marketing costs may come months before the final fee is paid.
02 / The work
Put the costs beside the work.
We bring the main figures into one view. Your bookkeeper or accountant supplies and checks them. We show which numbers are estimates or still missing.
| Measure | Keep the distinction clear |
|---|---|
| Signed agreements | A hiring decision; not the same as money collected. |
| Collected fees | Cash received, with payment timing shown. |
| Acquisition costs | Media, service fees and other costs used to bring in work. |
| Delivery costs and capacity | The people, time and other costs needed to serve that work. |
| Known gaps | Missing costs, estimates and records that still need checking. |
03 / The work
Decide what to do with the numbers.
Before increasing ad spend, check who hires, who pays and whether your team can serve the extra clients. Allow enough time for hiring decisions and payments to arrive.
Choose the next action and who owns it. You may need better collections, a sales fix, more staff or more time at the current ad budget.
04 / The work
Call the numbers what they are.
Collected fees minus a few known costs are not net profit. Name the calculation and show included and missing costs. Compare the same periods and definitions.
We help you read the figures and make business decisions. Bookkeeping, tax advice, audits and fractional CFO work need a separate provider and written scope.
Before we start
A few useful answers.
Will you do our bookkeeping?
No. Your bookkeeper or accountant keeps and checks the records. We use those figures to help you decide where to grow.
Can we start with incomplete records?
Identify the missing figures and who will supply them. A partial report can help if the gaps are clear. It is not a full profit calculation.
Does the report predict future returns?
No. It explains the figures. We agree our service commitment in writing: if the agreed return or delivery criteria are not met, we keep working at no extra fee until both are met.
